I can't complain about the last few years. 1995 was my worst year and it was hell for me. After that, anything that happens to me now just seems pretty meh, something else I'll get over. I'm not really ready for 2013 to leave, but I guess I don't really have a choice in the matter. lol

2013 has been OK for me too for the most part except for a couple of family deaths. My hubby is still unemployed though. May 2014 be the year he finally becomes employed again.

I hope everyone is staying warm. It's super cold in some places in the United States. I'm lucky to not live in an area that's below zero. brrrrr

It will be super cold here tonight into tomorrow with a windchill of near -40C apparently overnight. It was brutally cold most of last week as well with a slight warm up on the weekend. Make it stop! lol.

Oh, I know my mom and dad live in Wisconsin and they are saying it's going to be super duper cold there, too. I'm flying to Michigan in a week, so I hope it gets warmer and they don't get a ton of snow. *fingers crossed* I would HATE to get stuck at the airport.

My Mom and Dad are trying to come back from Phoenix AZ but our airport is at a standstill due to the deep freeze. They are stuck in Phoenix for an additional 3 hours or so (poor things). The bad part is they won't get to their house now until after midnight.

I bet they were tired. Hopefully they made it home safely now. Looks like it's starting to warm up. I just pray it doesn't snow a lot when I'm in Michigan. I have to drive a rental car 30 miles and back and it's been years since I've driven in snow.

Driving in snow is second nature to me now lol. We have had constant snow since basically November. I have a good set of winter tires so I don't worry quite as much now. Ice on the other hand....
They were pretty tired, but they got home uneventfully. There are still problems at the airport so they were very lucky considering.

Yeah - I never had a problem driving in snow when I lived in Wisconsin - it was just something we had to do. But I've lived here now for 8 years and it hardly ever snows. I'm not sure if it's like riding a bike or not. But I won't have to drive far, because the team is meeting me so we can carpool.I just have to get to their place and it's not as far away.
