My mom was a single parent and did not have much money...I remember in kindergarten she had read Green Eggs and Ham to me before bed. When I came home for lunch the next day she had made green eggs and ham and told me that Sam I Am had come to the house and sold her some. Well needless to say I was ecstatic and went back to school after lunch and told all my friends what wonderful things had happened to me at lunch. Of course no one believed me....but I didn't care!! Years later she told me how she was digging for coins in the couch cushions to find enough money for those ham and eggs for me. Best memory ever!! Great memory raven please post your facebook link and if your pet is a boy or girl. Thank you

One of my favorite memories comes to me every time I hear the song Beast of Burden by Rolling Stones. I used to have sleep overs at my best friend Alice's house, and that was her sister's favorite song. We would be playing barbies in the basement, using the shelves and piano bench as our doll's houses, and I would hear the music coming from Marie's room almost every time I was there Alice and I used to dump all our barbie stuff into a big pile and each take a turn picking 1 thing at a time, right down to the last shoe and then we would play there for hours. I don't think we ever even argued about a piece of clothing or whose doll lived where! LOL I recently found Alice on facebook after probably 20 years of wondering how she was, and it's great to hear how well she's doing I smile every time I hear that song

I'm not sure which one my favorite is, but my sister and I talked about one in the car today. My family took a trip to Disney World when I was eight. While my mom was wiping food off my sister's face (she was six) Goofy came over and kidnapped me! I giggled like crazy while my mom freaked out a little. He put me down in front of one of those wheelchairs they loan you when you go to the park. I was confused at first until an employee flipped over the tag that was on the wheelchair, and there was a HUGE snail. Goofy wanted me to see the snail! The best part about it? I truly believed Disney World was magical, because I had (and still have) a fascination about bugs. How did Goofy know that?! I know it was probably just a coincidence, but when I think about that memory, I still think a bit of magic was involved. www.facebook.com/parazombie

My favorite memory is playing with an old barrel my father had around the house. In the summer, my 2 brothers and I would stick pieces of straw in the holes in the side and fill the barrel with water. All the neighborhood kids would come over and we took turns cooling off in our 'pool'. In the winter, we could lay the barrel over on its side. One kid would curl up in the barrel and two more would stand on the top (side) of the barrel and 'walk' it across the yard (a great way to develop balancing skills). We had a ball with that old barrel! Girl www.facebook.com/carla.m.higgins
