Banner enchanted plants are released twice a year and produce 3GC every 5 days. They are only available exclusively through a banner purchase of $20, but you also get 150GC + 5,000 coins. You water the tree daily to receive a collection item, when you collect all, you can exchange them for 3GC a set.
The chart below shows you how much you can make depending on how many you have. If you don't have the $20 to buy the banner, people do sell them in trade groups for usually 650-700GC each. Now obviously the better deal is to buy it directly yourself from the banner, but you can save up your GC to get one as well, though it will take a while to make your GC back so I don't recommend it (if you're only trying to make GC from it). If you buy one for 650GC in a group, it'll take 3 years just to make your money back no matter how many you buy. It's also just a rare and beautiful item in itself, so it depends if it's worth it for you or not.
What I do since I can't afford GC is save up GC items leaving the shops, things that will end up being worth a lot more later like; costumes, Junior sets, wigs, clothing, furniture etc... Then I wait til I have enough to trade for it and since the items are worth more than I paid for them, I end up spending less than 650GC on the banner enchanted plant. Over the past 3 years I've been able to get 8 doing this. The best time to trade for them though is while they're still available. Now, the most recent GC generating banner item is this Banner Carrot Cake Generator. Unlike the plants it actually produces more GC & gives you 4GC every 5 days instead of 3GC every 5 days. It requires a bit more work, but it's well worth it.
You click on the generator once a day to get a measuring cup collection item, then when you have a full set you can redeem it for a bag of ingredients to make carrot cake.
The bag of ingredients will show up in your storage, just take it out & click on it to collect them.
When you collect the ingredients they'll show up in your menu so you can make carrot cake.
Once you make the carrot cake it'll take 1 hour & when you collect your reward you'll earn 4GC.
